We use this tense in below statement.

When describing events that are taking place right now or shortly after, the present continuous tense—also referred to as the present progressive tense—is employed. It draws attention to how continuous an action is.

1. In present indefinite (passive) we use is, am, are as helping verb.

                        Is                                         AM                                     ARE

 ( he, she, it singular noun)             ( I )       (we, you, they, plural noun)

2. We use 4th form of the verb (ing) in this tense.

 Affirmative sentence

subject+      is, am, are  +        verb-ing +             object
